I’m not much of a zucchinis person. But Fil loves them, so, I’m trying to use them as much as I can in our kitchen.
The reason I don’t like zucchini, is my mother. She used to cook them until they become something without substance and the moment it touched my tongue it made me puke.

But now I’ve become to appreciate them grilled (with a little bit of balsamic vinegar) and with the Paella.

Wednesday evening … the evening I’m waiting for, every week. You will think this is strange, but if you consider that I hate Fridays more than Mondays and that I usually work on Sundays, you can understand why this evening is important to me.
Until a few years ago, on Wednesday we (me and Fil) use to take photography classes and after that we were going out for beer and chat with our friends. But these days Fil goes to the volleyball training and sometimes I get stuck at home with a pile of linen to iron.

What is the best medicine when you caught a cold, or when you are really tired or when is cold outside (like this first days of April)… a bathtub full of hot water. But what if you don’t have a bathtub?
We have a crazy spring these days, here in Italy. One minute is cold and is raining, and one minute later is warm and shiny. You never know what to wear, and it end up that I arrive home from work not only more tired than usually but also cold. And since I don’t have a bathtub I have to settle for a hot Romanian soup.
Full of vegetables and meat, easy to make, light and tasty, this is the perfect dinner for this days. Maybe you will not impress your guests with this dish, but you can use it as a light starter or as an intermezzo – consommé (without the meet).

Yesterday I’ve forgot to thaw out some meet and I’ve found myself with no idea at all about what to cook for dinner. I took a look in the fridge and I found the ingredients for Carbonara, but we don’t usually eat pasta for dinner, so, I’ve decided that a “tortino” sounded better.
